AAA Scenario Planning in Uncertain Times: New Resources for Delaware Nonprofits

With multiple executive orders, budget processes, and new priorities, the government funding and policy landscape has changed for nonprofits. DANA has compiled resources and templates to assist nonprofit leaders and boards of directors in evaluating their future options. Where contingency planning addresses immediate risk mitigation, scenario planning focuses on alternative pathways to navigate beyond the crisis.

In this session, the DANA team will walk participants through a comprehensive AAA Scenario planning toolkit, associated checklists, spreadsheet tools, and assessment templates that explore the following areas:

Aware: tips on affirming mission outcomes and drivers, current financial and organizational health, and identifying which external factors impact clients, programs, and operations.

Assess: Tools and questions to evaluate impacts to programs, operations, and funding based on high-impact external factors.

Act: Considerations and resources for evaluating scenarios and moving forward with the ideal plan that results in high mission impact and sustainability
