Production Assistant

Employment Type:

Full-Time, Hourly $15 start pay, minimum 35 hours

Work week: Monday-Friday 8am – 3pm

Position Summary:

This is a full-time position in sustainable manufacturing. We make durable outdoor furniture from recycled plastic. This job requires a mixed variety of trades. This could be a great entry level job to gain skills in tool usage and safety, and experience building. Looking for someone who is either experienced or interested in carpentry, is interested in recycling or looking for an introduction to the trades. Opportunities for advanced training in, “heavy machinery” forklift operations and bale making if interested.

Our mission is to collect consumer plastic waste from our community and transform it into purposeful consumer goods that the community can then use creating a sustainable recycling system. We want to reinvent how the world views plastic waste—transforming what’s discarded into purposeful products while fostering education, inspiring community action, and providing opportunities to people of all abilities with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder. At Eco Plastic Products, every project reflects our belief in a cleaner, healthier planet.

Job Requirements:

-Lifting up to 70 lbs.

-Running machinery

-Wearing and proper use of PPE- personal protective equipment

-Building

-Cutting and basic carpentry applications

-Sorting of material
